Pregnancy Pilates reformer and tower classes in Sydney. Love Pilates offers prenatal Pilates reformer, prenatal Pilates tower, and barre classes in Willoughby and Beecroft. Our boutique studio has small classes of up to 9 for prenatal Pilates classes in Willoughby and 10 in Beecroft. Our pregnancy classes are also an amazing opportunity to connect with other local mums!

We often get asked is Pilates safe during pregnancy? Our teachers are pregnancy and postnatal trained and work closely with local Women's Health Physiotherapists and have experience dealing with common pregnancy issues such as SIJ, carpal tunnel and pubic dysfunction.

Our pregnancy Pilates reformer and pregnancy Pilates tower classes are designed to accommodate your changing body, build your strength and and incorporate stretching to ease the aches and pains of pregnancy.

Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth baby, we understand that it can be challenging to fit classes around work and/or small children. We offer prenatal classes 7 days a week, with weekday, weeknight and weekend classes.

What are the benefits of Pilates during pregnancy?

Exercising during pregnancy can help you thrive physically and emotionally. Some of the benefits of attending pregnancy Pilates classes include:

  • prevent excess weight gain

  • promotes muscle strength and endurance

  • promotes body awareness

  • provides you with an opportunity to connect with other pregnant mums

What classes can I do?

If you are 13 weeks or more (in to your second trimester) we ask you to attend our pregnancy/prenatal classes. We offer pregnancy Pilates reformer, pre/postnatal Pilates reformer, pre/postnatal Pilates tower classes. You are also welcome at any of our barre classes (Beecroft only - just have a chat to the teacher before class). See our timetable here.

What happens after I have my baby?

Your Pilates pregnancy journey doesn’t have to stop after you have your baby! We offer a range of postnatal Pilates classes that you can attend - weekday postnatal Pilates reformer classes and postnatal Pilates tower classes where you can bring your baby along as well as weekend and evening mums only postnatal Pilates reformer and postnatal Pilates tower classes. Postnatal Pilates classes can help you rebuild your strength after pregnancy but also connect with other mums. FAQs about mums & bubs Pilates and postnatal Pilates classes at Love Pilates

  • Love Pilates offers the most pregnancy Pilates and postnatal Pilates classes in the North Shore/Northern Suburbs. Across our Beecroft and Willoughby studios we offer 11 classes a week. (During busy periods we add extra classes.)

    Our teachers are pregnancy trained and experienced and have been teaching pregnant clients for several years.

  • Yes we offer private pregnancy Pilates classes. If you can’t find a suitable time in our “appointments” calendar - email us on hello@lovepilates.com.au and we will do our best to facilitate a time for you.

  • Yes, our pregnancy and postnatal teachers have all done additional training. This is usually a mix of in-house and external training. Most of our teachers are Pilates trained beyond reformer and are comprehensively certified.

  • We expect private classes may be claimable from April 1 2026, but are waiting for guidance from the PAA. We do not yet know the full criteria for claimable sessions or which health funds will offer this.

  • There are several restrictions such as diastasis recti, pubic dysfunction and carpal tunnel which are reasonably common and we are used to modifying for in classes. If you have concerns pleas contact us on hello@lovepilates.com.au to discuss whether group classes are suitable, we are also happy to talk to your physio.

  • We know moving and exercising during pregnancy has a number of benefits physically and mentally - such as improving mobility, building and maintaining strength and assisting in stress reduction. What we love most about our Pregnancy Pilates classes (and our postnatal classes) is the community that is created. Our classes are a safe space to share and ask questions with other local mums and a great opportunity to connect with other local mums. There are many friendships formed in our pregnancy and postnatal classes, information shared on birthing classes and prams and tips on managing heartburn!

  • Pregnancy and postnatal pilates classes take a maximum of 10 mums. Our Beecroft studio has greater capacity but we cap our class numbers at 10 to make sure our teachers can work with all our mums.
