What Are Private Pilates Sessions?

Private Pilates sessions at Love Pilates are one-on-one classes tailored entirely to your body, goals, and experience level.

During these sessions, you’ll work closely with one of our highly trained instructors in our boutique studio.

Each session incorporates a range of Pilates equipment — including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, and Mat — to create a program that’s perfectly suited to your unique movement needs (available equipment may vary by studio).

Whether you’re new to Pilates, returning from an injury, or looking to refine advanced technique, private sessions provide the focused guidance and support to help you move better and feel stronger.

Why Choose Private Pilates?

Private sessions offer a personalized experience designed to deliver faster progress and deeper body awareness. Here’s why many of our clients choose them:

1. A Program Designed Just for You

No two bodies are the same. Your instructor will assess your posture, mobility, and strength, then design a custom program that targets your specific goals — from improving core control to managing back pain or enhancing athletic performance.

2. In-Depth Guidance and Feedback

With undivided instructor attention, every movement is refined in real time. You’ll receive tailored corrections and cues that ensure safe and effective technique throughout your practice.

3. Ideal for Injury Recovery or Special Conditions

Private Pilates is especially beneficial if you’re rehabbing an injury, managing a chronic condition, or recovering from surgery. Sessions progress at your pace, focusing on alignment, control, and safe strengthening.

4. Build Confidence Before Joining Group Classes

If you’re new to Pilates, private sessions are the perfect way to learn the fundamentals before transitioning to group classes. You’ll gain confidence in your form, understand how to use the equipment, and learn how to modify exercises for your body.

5. Flexible and Focused

Your schedule, your goals, your progress. Private Pilates gives you the flexibility to work when it suits.

Help - I’ve got questions!

  • Currently no, but we are expecting changes later this year. We recommend checking with your health fund.

  • Yes if your baby is happy to stay in a pram of bouncer they can join you in class.

  • To join mums & bubs classes you must have had your 6/8 week check with your midwife/doctor and be cleared to exercise.

If your baby is under 6 months old, or you are just returning to exercise after your baby or you physio has recommended postnatal classes - you need to attend our mums & bubs classes. Once you are attending classes regularly, you can discuss with your teacher whether other classes are appropriate.
