Roll & Release: Give Your Body the Reset It’s Been Asking For
Feeling tight, stiff, sore or like your body is carrying a little too much tension?
Our upcoming Roll & Release Workshop at Love Pilates Beecroft is your chance to slow down, tune into your body and release built-up tension from head to toe.
Using a combination of myofascial release techniques, foam rollers, yoga blocks and myofascial release balls, we’ll spend two blissful hours working through the body to help release tension, improve mobility and leave you feeling longer, lighter and more relaxed.
If you’ve ever finished a busy week feeling like your shoulders are up around your ears, your hips are tight, your back is a little cranky and your legs feel heavy, this workshop is for you.
So, what exactly is myofascial release?
As we explored in our previous blog, What is Myofascial Release and How Can It Help Me?, fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and supports our muscles, bones and organs.
Everyday life can take its toll on our bodies. Sitting at a desk, exercising, driving, parenting, repetitive movements, stress and simply being on the go can all contribute to that familiar feeling of tightness and stiffness.
Myofascial release uses gentle, sustained pressure to target areas of tension and encourage the body to relax and release.
And the best part? You don’t need to be super flexible, particularly fit or experienced in Pilates to benefit.
Roll & Release is about learning how to work with your body, rather than pushing through it.
A full-body release from head to toe
During our Roll & Release Workshop, we’ll use a range of simple but incredibly effective tools to work through different areas of the body.
Foam rollers
Foam rollers are fantastic for applying broader pressure across larger muscle groups. We’ll use them to explore areas such as the back, glutes, hips and legs, helping to ease tension and improve your overall mobility.
Myofascial release balls
Small but mighty!
Myofascial release balls allow us to get a little more specific, targeting areas where tension can often hide. We’ll explore how to safely use them around areas such as the feet, shoulders, glutes and hips, giving you the opportunity to find those tight spots and encourage them to let go.
Yoga blocks
Yoga blocks are a wonderfully versatile tool for supporting your body, creating space and helping you find comfortable positions.
They’ll be incorporated throughout the workshop to help you find the right amount of support and pressure for your body.
What can you expect from the workshop?
Roll & Release is designed to give you the time and space to slow down, breathe and reconnect with your body.
Over the two hours, we’ll work methodically through the body, exploring different techniques to help release areas of tension and improve mobility.
You can expect to:
· Release built-up muscle and fascial tension
· Improve flexibility and range of movement
· Reduce feelings of stiffness and tightness
· Increase your awareness of your body
· Encourage better posture and alignment
· Give your muscles some much-needed recovery time
· Learn practical techniques you can use at home
· Finish the workshop feeling relaxed, refreshed and more connected to your body
Some areas may feel quite intense as we work into deeper areas of tension, but the aim is never to push through pain. We’ll show you how to adjust the pressure and position so you can work at a level that feels right for your body.
“I walked into the Roll & Release workshop feeling tense, sore, and completely worn down—but I walked out feeling free of pain, soft, relaxed, and genuinely hopeful.”

“While there are moments during the workshop where the intensity can be quite strong, the relief afterwards is absolutely mind-blowing.”

It’s not just about stretching
One of the things we love about Roll & Release is that it goes beyond simply stretching tight muscles.
Stretching can be fantastic for improving flexibility, but myofascial release gives us another way to explore areas of restriction in the body. By applying pressure to specific areas and allowing the body time to soften and release, we can create a different kind of sensation — one that often leaves you feeling like you have more space in your body.
“As someone who spends all day hunched over a computer and the evenings carrying a toddler, I’ve been dealing with constant back and hip pain.”
— James – Love Pilates Client
After the workshop, James noticed an immediate change:
“After two hours of bliss in Roll & Release, I not only felt immediate relief but could actually touch my toes again.”
— James – Love Pilates Client
And his verdict?
“I’d highly recommend Leah’s workshop to anyone craving a proper, deeply satisfying stretch.”

From head to toe
We’ll take our time moving through the body rather than focusing on just one area.
Think feet, calves, hamstrings, glutes, hips, back, shoulders, neck and everything in between.
This head-to-toe approach is what makes Roll & Release feel so satisfying. Sometimes the area that feels tight or uncomfortable isn’t working in isolation — restrictions elsewhere in the body can influence how we move and feel.
“The session was perfectly paced, helping to loosen and release tight muscles that had built up over time. Working from head to toe, I left feeling smooth, aligned, and noticeably improved in my posture.”
— Nat – Love Pilates Client
Your body does a lot for you. Give it something back.
Between work, exercise, parenting, sitting, driving, running around and simply getting through the day, it’s easy to put your body at the bottom of the list.
Roll & Release is your chance to press pause.
For two hours, you don’t need to rush anywhere or achieve anything. You simply get to lie down, breathe, release and reset.
And if you’re someone who constantly feels like you’re carrying tension through your body, this could be exactly the reset you need.
“I absolutely needed Roll & Release—it was brilliant.”
— Louise C. – Love Pilates Client
